ABOUT THE OWNER

With over 30 years of experience, Alex Dakoglou is an elite live audio engineer providing world-class sound for full symphony orchestras, legendary musical artists, and high-end corporate A/V events. During his 2004–2011 tenure as head audio engineer at the House of Blues on Sunset Strip, he was trusted with the venue's biggest productions, personally mixing front of house and monitors for legends like James Brown, Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie James Dio, Sly and the Family Stone, and Aretha Franklin, to name a few. Bringing an inherently musical feel to every mix—a nod to his 6 years of classical piano training, plus 20+ years of playing guitar and singing—his audio work even prompted Ringo Starr to stop a soundcheck and proclaim, "It sounds so good that I want to live on this stage." Alex has even stepped into the film world, serving as the production manager for the 2017 acclaimed music documentary Hired Gun, and co-writing a song that made it into the 2006 film Stick It.

Today, Alex owns & operates an independent audio business, serving as the trusted live sound engineer for Art Garfunkel, Herb Alpert, and Idina Menzel. His master-level mixing has powered landmark, multi-night sold-out performances at prestigious venues including the Sydney Opera House, the Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, Red Rocks, and Madison Square Garden, while also delivering pristine audio solutions for major corporate events & galas nationwide.
